A word about streaming music …

There's a big hype about streaming music: Instead of downloading music (e.g. iTunes), you simply stream (play) music (e.g. spotify). Sounds good? Well, maybe it does so for the consumer, it definitly does not for the artist. There's a simple explanation to that:

While e.g. iTunes pays the label € 0.71 for the download of a track, e.g. spotify (one of the most popular streaming services) pays an average of € 0.002 for a streamed track. You may argue that this amount will be paid everytime a track is streamed - that's true. But have you ever calculated how many times a track needs to be streamed until it covers one download?

395 times! How many songs do you play that often?

If you would listen to a song once a day, you could listen to this song for over a year to cover just one download - you'll probably never do that with any song.

So - what does that mean?

While streaming music may be a cool deal for the consumer, it's not for the artist. Therefore: Thank you for buying downloads!

Welcome

Finally it's online: The website with a new design and some nifty new functions: For example a social video directory that contains youtube videos where our music has been used. By the way: We don't block our content on youtube, we even feature it (if we like it ;-) .
